Clevergene signs an MoU with  Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology

Clevergene Biocorp a deep-tech genomics company today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), to to establish a state-of-the-art genomics centre at Thiruvananthapuram.

In a first of its kind in Kerala, the state-of-the-art genomics centre will house the latest DNA sequencing equipment like the Illumina NovaSeq and other allied infrastructure to support cutting edge research in plant biotechnology, infections, cancer and other chronic diseases.

The services of this high-throughput genomics centre will be open for use in research to other institutes and industry and will provide services like gene expression  analysis, epigenetics and genome analysis including that of Covid-19 virus.

The MoU was represented by Professor Chandrabhas Narayana, Director, RGBC,  Mr S. Mohanan Nair, Chief Controller, RGBC Dr T.R. Santhosh Kumar and Mr Tony Jose, CEO, Clevergene Biotech and Shiv Mohan Singh  Chief Commercial Officer, Clevergene Biotech
