On 8th June 2023, a torch run and send-off ceremony were held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi to commemorate the extraordinary journey of athletes representing Special Olympics Bharat. Not just an event, this was a moment of national pride and recognition for the athletes who have tirelessly worked to represent India on the global stage.
The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including the Hon’ble Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Mr. Anurag Thakur, and Hon’ble Union Minister Ms. Smriti Irani. Their presence signified the importance and value of sports in fostering inclusive development and national pride.
